So today is my mums birthday. She’s 40 today and we wanted to do something special.
We don’t usually spend much on presents for her - she’s not much of a birthday person and we don’t normally have the money. This year we decided to change that.
She is the biggest fan of P!nk that i know. To say that she is a little obsessed would be an understatement.
We all chipped in to get her tickets for the London part of P!nk’s tour, which was not only hard to find - as she sold out on the only date that was available - but we also didn’t have the money, so we sold some of our things (nothing big, some games, DVDs, that sort of thing) and thanks to my older brother especially, we got some great tickets for her.
(We got two tickets so she wasn’t alone, one of us will go with her)

We wanted it to be a surprise so I wrapped a box of tea in foil (couldn’t get wrapping paper), kept the tea bags in the box to give it some weight so that there was no way she could guess it, and put the tickets on top so she would see them straight away…

She loved them. She was surprised. I think she even got a little bit teary eyed. It was worth it.

I hope she enjoys the show.

It’s my mum’s birthday on Thursday. We got her tickets to see P!nk live. she is obsessed with pink, her favourite artist, and she has no idea what we have got her. Considering the basic and boring gifts we normally get she is going to be so shocked and happy.
